Not that I want to brush off what was Randon's Reviews: for the first time, it became something I was extremely proud of, and over the past few months, I have learnt things that will undoubtedly help me make it even better. I have rekindled my passion for full immersion in music, whether it's listening, writing, reading, or simply giving everyone I know an earful of incoherent crap about how awesome punk rock is, and I have learnt that all of the technical, showy stuff that I used to care about with the old blog is just not important. It should be about writing about music that I love (or hate), and now that means more to me than ever.
I'm not about to delete the old Randon's Reviews blog - that is staying, and I encourage you to check it out if you have a few spare minutes. I'm also not about to make false promises of posting on here ALL the time. That's something that's just not possible in my current position of working full-time shifts in hospitality, before starting my intensive journalism diploma in February (yeah, proper court reporting and media law and other serious shit).
What I can guarantee is that I will be posting <frequently> on the Randon's Reviews Facebook page, as well as waffling on my personal Twitter. As for this blog? Who knows what could happen in the next few months? But hey, this is better than sitting on my gelatinous arse watching Vine compilations and old episodes of Never Mind The Buzzcocks.
It's 2016, and what better way to describe my current mindset than with a Fred Durst meme?
(Take it to the Matthews Bridge)
